Swimming Pool is a 2003 sensual thriller and the first English language film from French director Francois Ozon. The film stars Charlotte Rampling as a successful writer who, in order to work through a period of serious writer's block, decides to stay at her publisher's country home in order to complete her new novel. After the unexpected arrival of the publisher's daughter (Ludivine Sagnier), the two begin a tempestuous relationship that eventually leads to a surprise ending. The movie was a critical and commercial success and helped jump start the career of young siren Sagnier.
