Survivor Gabon

Survivor Gabon was the 17th season of the reality television series. It was the first time the show has been taped in high definition. The filming location was Gabon, located on the continent of Africa on the equator, bordering the Atlantic ocean. The host, Jeff Probst, claimed that Gabon was more remote than any of the locations in the previous 16 seasons.Entertainment Weekly: Probst talks about next 'Survivor' location (May 12, 2008) The series began on September 25, 2008 with two back-to-back episodes and will concluded on December 14, 2008 with Bob Crowley as the sole survivor. Crowley also won the Sprint Player of the Season Award. The award is given to the season's most popular player, cast by a vote of the viewers.
