The cell stage is the first of five stages in the video game Spore. The stage begins when the meteor your character is on crashes into a tide pool on a planet. Throughout the stage, your cell character will grow and eventually be able to crawl out of the tide pool and on to dry land. Spore is a simulation game that is out for several platforms. The PC has a full version, while Mac might also get one, and Nintendo DS and the iPhone will have certain stages of the game, but not the whole thing. The gameplay of the cell stage can be most accurately compared to Pacman or flOw. The gameplay will be two-dimensional with players looking for things to eat while trying to avoid things that will eat you.
