• Smokin' Aces is a 2007 crime film starring Jeremy Piven as Buddy Israel, a magician and mafia informant who is being protected by an FBI agent because a hit has been placed on his head. Written and Directed by Joe Carnahan, the movie centers around a gang of assassins that have been dispatched to kill Israel in the Reno hotel room he's been hiding out in. While the film's sly wit and hyper violent style made it a modest hit with movie-goers, it was critically panned by most critics.
