• Defensive tackle Shaun Rogers plays professional football in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns.

    According to a source close to ESPN, Rogers did not attend the team's off-season workout program in March of 2009. The absence is reportedly related to Rogers' rift with new Browns coach Eric Mangini.   • College Football Career

    Prior to playing in the NFL, Rogers played college football with the Texas Longhorns. He played in 41 games, recording 199 tackles, including 53 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks and 54 quarterback pressures. Rogers earned All-Big 12 honors and finished his career third on the school's list for tackles for a loss. After college, he was selected 61st overall in the 2001 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions.

    Rogers was elected to play in two Pro Bowls, in 2005 and 2006, while playing for the Detroit Lions. In 2006, Rogers tested positive for what was thought to be steroids and suspended by the NFL for four games for violating their substance abuse policy. Rogers agent however, claims it was an appetite suppressant medication and not steroids.

    In 2008, Rogers signed a six year $42 million dollar contract with the Cleveland Browns.
