2008 San Diego Earthquake
A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck an area along San Diego and Riverside counties in Southern California, on the morning of November 17, 2008. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake hit at approximately 4:35 a.m., PST. The epicenter of the earthquake was about 10 miles north of the Palomar Observatory and about 20 miles east of Temecula, California.
