• Early life

  Lester was born in Kennesaw, Georgia. He had been obese since the age of five, food helping him cope with the loss of friends and family members. In high school his sister died and he considered suicide. In his youth he participated in rodeos and did some stand up comedy.

• Weight loss

  By the time Lester was 30 he weighed over 500 pounds. He was endangering his health so he decided to take an experimental gastric bypass surgery to help him lose the weight. He recovered from surgery, lost 315 pounds and had 17 plastic surgeries to remove excess skin. He is back into acting but getting thin roles.

• Family

  Lester lost his father in 1993 to a heart attack. His mother, Mary Ellen, was a big support to him though his most challenging days. She was the one who got him in touch with his plastic surgeon, Keith Jeffords. He calls her his best friend.

  He cared for her for two years, while she suffered from ovarian cancer and until she died in the summer of 2007.

  Lester currently lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Kate Williamon. They have been together since 2007.
