• Robert Scoble is a famous tech geek and blogger who first made it in the public eye while working for Microsoft as a Technical Evangelist in 2003. Since then, he has left Microsoft to work for PodTech.net, a video-podcast company in 2006 as the Vice President of Media Development, then worked for Fast Company on an online video show known as Fast Company TV for a little while, and later joined the web hosting company Rackspace in 2009 where he headed up a special project for Internet fanatics called Building 43. Scoble, is not your ordinary tech geek, yet rather one who seems to know about anything and everything tech related, and enjoys keeping up on the latest technology and social networking trends. Scoble has interviewed many industry leaders and visionaries. When Scoble likes something, he really goes out of his way to promote it, being such an advocate of Twitter and FriendFeed. Generally considered the "nice guy" in the tech industry Scoble opens his life and experiences in several ways such as lifecasting, blogging and his video shows. He lives in Half Moon Bay, California with his children Patrick and Milan.

  • Issue with Facebook:

    On January 3, 2008 Scoble, a long time Facebook advocate was blocked from the website for terms of use violation. The issue occurred when Scoble tested a new script from Plaxo that helped to export the contact information of his friend network. After a day his account was returned although his interest and discussion of Facebook has diminished since.
