Rent is a rock musical written by Jonathan Larson and based on Giacomo Puccini's Opera [[La bohème]].
Since opening in 1996, it has had several West End productions, U.K. and North American tours and was adapted into a feature length film in 2005. Rent is one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history.
