Differences from Twitter
Unlike Twitter, Plurk displays posts on a timeline, which is extremely useful for visually-oriented people. It also provides a pull-down menu which allows users to select specific modifiers. Users can separate their friends into specific groups, called "cliques". The more a Plurker makes use of the service, the more "karma" he or she builds up, which opens up new features on the service. Unlike Twitter, users cannot SMS messages to their timeline.
