  • Brief History

    OxyContin was first manufactured in 1996 and has since become a favorite among prescription drug abusers. The effects of OxyContin include respiratory suppression, feelings of euphoria and relaxation, and pain relief. If taken in high doses, OxyContin can suppress respiration to such a degree as to be fatal. As with other prescription opioids, OxyContin can be highly addictive.
