  • Career Overview

    Before recording music, Jones worked in New York City as a lounge singer. She gained some early fame as a jazz pianist, and performed jazz standards in 2003 on NPR.

    Jones released her debut album, Come Away With Me, in 2002, and scored a hit single that year with "Don't Know Why." She won Album of the Year that year at the Grammy Awards. It is the second best-selling album of the decade behind The Beatles' 1.

    Jones has since released two more popular albums - Feels Like Home and Not Too Late. She made her acting debut in the 2007 film My Blueberry Nights, directed by Wong Kar-wai, which opened the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
