A founding member of the Mountain West Conference, the New Mexico Lobos Men's Basketball team won the conference tournament the first six years of its existence. First year coach Steve Alford looks to return the program to the glory years of the 90s, when the Lobos made six NCAA Tournament appearances in a seven year span.
