  Prior to playing in the NFL, Washington played college football at Tiffin University in Ohio. He had a standout career, setting school records for receptions in a game, at 13, in a season, at 70, and in a career, at 212. He also set records for touchdowns in a season, at 16, and career touchdown receptions, at 47, as well as the most yards in a game, at 299, in a season, at 1,428, and in a career, at 4,214.

• NFL Career

  After going undrafted in 2005, Nate Washington signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He only played in one game during his rookie season, but was part of the Steelers' Super Bowl XL championship team. Washington appeared in all 16 games in 2006, where he caught 35 passes for 624 yards and 4 touchdowns. Washington continued to put up consistent numbers in 2007 and 2008.
