• The Sorrow Doll is a special item acquired in the first playthrough of Guns of the Patriots. It is obtained after defeating Screaming Mantis in Act 5 using non-lethal attacks. The Sorrow Doll allows Snake to take control over dead bodies, shaking them in the air to reveal additional hidden items that are hidden in their corpses. Acquired towards the end of the first playthrough, the Sorrow Doll is available from the beginning of future playthroughs. Players may acquire the Psycho Mantis Doll at the same time, allowing Snake to psycho-manipulate live enemy soldiers in similar fashion.
