Meg Ryan is an American film actress. Her first appearance on television was for a deodorant commercial when she was 18. In 1981 Ryan made her film debut in the movie Rich and Famous in which she played the 18 year old Debby Blake. In 1989 she rose to stardom for her role in the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally... , which also starred Billy Crystal. Her portrayal of Sally Albright earned her a Golden Globe nomination. In 1993, Ryan starred in Sleepless in Seattle which also starred Tom Hanks. Ryan and Hanks have starred together in two other movies together.
