    Drew was drafted 60th overall in the 2006 NFL draft out of University of California, Los Angeles. After being selected in the second round of the 2006 draft, Jones-Drew established himself as one of the best small running backs in the NFL. He has also been recognized for his punt-returning abilities. Despite his low draft number, Jones-Drew outperformed many of the running backs of his class during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
