    As a highly recruited high school football player out of Valley Forge Military Academy, Larry Fitzgerald decided to stay in his native Pennsylvania and attend the University of Pittsburgh. Considered one of the greatest wide receivers in school history, Fitzgerald won the 2003 Walter Camp and the Fred Biletnikoff awards as a sophomore. In the same year, he was the runner up in the Heisman Trophy balloting. In 2004, he declared himself eligible for the NFL draft.
