Judges' Comments
Randy Jackson: Great song choice, and other than a few pitchy moments he thought it was a good performance.Paula Abdul: Poignant and respectful song. Thought Cook was growing and her voice is better every time. Has seen better performances from Cook.
Simon Cowell: Her best performance by a mile. Most clever song choice he has heard in years.

- What in the world will Kristy Lee pick in what could be her make-or-break night? (Although, haven't they all been?) Oh my gosh -- God Bless the USA. Not only going for the country crowd, but the patriots too. And it mentions soldiers. A little crass, KL ...And not very well sung either -- very rough transition to the modulation. Nice going, America, to let her stay on to sing that. Randy and Paula blither on, although Paula didn't like the performance much. Come on, Simon -- but he lets me down and calls it her best and the most clever song choice in years. Well, "clever" is one word for it.
