Kate Walsh is an American actress best known for her roles as Dr. Addison Montgomery on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.
Walsh's early career included modeling and theater but her breakthrough role was as Niki Fifer on The Drew Carey Show.
On December 11, 2008, People Magazine reported that Walsh and her husband film executive Alex Young were divorcing. Walsh made the initial filing (November 22, 2008) on the grounds of irreconcilable differences. The couple were married on September 1, 2007.
