• Jorge Garcia is an American actor and comedian who plays the role of Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on the hit ABC show Lost. Garcia was born in Nebraska to a Chilean father and Cuban mother, and grew up in Southern California. He studied with the comedy group, The Groundlings, and in 2004 he appeared as a drug dealer in an episode of the Larry David show, Curb Your Enthusiasm. The producers of Lost saw this episode, and upon meeting with Garcia, decided to create the character of Hurley.
