Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the release of the iPhone 3G during his keynote address at the WWDC conference on June 9, 2008. Jobs said the iPhone 3G would be available in 22 countries starting on July 11, 2008.
The newer generation iPhone features a faster Internet connectivity speed in comparison to the previous model.
