Ikaruga is a 2D vertically scrolling in which you battle your way through 18 stages as pilot Shinra. The game focuses on fast-paced action and the mechanics of polarity. Your enemies come in two color varieties symbolizing two polarities: white or black. By changing the color (polarity) of your ship as you play, you absorb enemy bullets if the ship matches the enemy's color. The game features slow-motion training mode and co-op play for two.
