Hot Fuzz is an action/cop movie satire from Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, the creators of Shaun of the Dead. In the film, officer Nicholas Angel (played by Pegg) is reassigned to the small, quiet suburban English town of Sandford because his heroics and dedication are making his fellow London cops look bad. Paired up with a bumbling sidekick in Danny Butterman (played by Frost), Angel appears overcome with paranoia to his new colleagues when he insists that a series of "accidental" deaths are, in fact, murders. Not only does the film spoof the action genre, it also specifically references Point Break and Bad Boys 2, which Angel and Butterman watch during the movie.
Other stars of the film include Timothy Dalton, Jim Broadbent, and Olivia Colman. There are also small parts and cameos made by Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Stephen Merchant, and Peter Jackson.
