  • About Halo Wars

    Halo Wars, the first real-time strategy game in the Halo series, was developed by Ensemble Studios, who also created the Age of Empires franchise.

    The game takes place before the events of the first Halo game, during the war between UNSC and the Covenant. The main campaign has players leading an army of soldiers serving on "Spirit of Fire," a UNSC colony ship, although the official site confirms that the Covenant will also be playable in the game.

  • Multiplayer

    In multiplayer co-op mode, up to three players can play through the entire campaign together over Xbox LIVE. As is standard in real-time strategy games, players can select and manage soldiers individually and in small groups, or command the entire army at once.
