Gameplay
The battles that take place during the game are similar to those of traditional RPGs, where the player is required to destroy all enemies using physical and magical (or "Psynergy" in the case of Golden Sun: The Lost Age) attacks. Similarly to the first game, djinn (creatures that increase a character's power) also appear in its successor; these creatures are scattered all throughout the game, awaiting discovery by the player. In a sense, the game is not truly a sequel when it comes to gameplay, as that element remained almost identical to the first game of the series. -
Story
As far as the story goes, the game progresses literally from its predecessor, except this time around the player gets to experience the world of Weyard from a whole new prospective. In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, the player takes the role of Felix, the villain from the first Golden Sun; this role reversal ties The Lost Age into the previous game by bringing back a previously introduced character. The game picks up directly where the original Golden Sun left off, so players do not miss out on anything in between the two. -
