  Tony the Tiger has been the mascot since the cereal was first introduced in 1952 as Sugar Frosted Flakes. "Sugar" was dropped from the product name in the 1970s. The character was originally voiced by Thurl Ravenscroft until his death in 2005. Tony is currently voiced by former professional wrestling play-by-play announcer, Lee Marshall.
