  The story of Freddy Kreuger is a horrible and disturbing one. Freddy Kreuger was the product of rape; a nun became trapped in an insane asylum and was tortured and raped by over 100 inmates of the asylum. He was adopted by a cruel man who beat him regularly. When he Kreuger preyed on children in his neighborhood near Elm Street, raping and killing them in his basement. When the police could not keep him incarcerated for his crime due to procedural errors, neighborhood parents took the law into their own hands and attempted to burn him alive. Moments before his death, he was approached by a group of demons seeking the most evil person on the planet, and offered him the ability to invade dreams. He accepted, and began a campaign of revenge on his killers by prey on their children where they were unable to protect them: in their dreams.
