Early Career
Pucci's background was far from fashion. He studied at University of Milan, University of Georgia and Reed College in Oregon before receiving his doctorate in political science from the University of Florence.He designed clothes for the Reed College ski team and some of his designs were photographed for Harper's Bazaar by Toni Frissell in 1947. In 1950, Pucci would set up his first haute couture house on the Isle of Capri.
