Edgar Wright is a British writer and director of TV and film. After his first film (called Dead Right), he found initial success with 1994's A Fistful of Fingers. Soon after, he co-created the popular 1999 British TV series Spaced (in which he also acted some bit parts) with Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes.
From there, Wright and Pegg collaborated on the films Shaun of the Dead (a zombie/horror/romantic comedy) and Hot Fuzz (an action/cop movie satire) and Wright contributed a fake trailer to the Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino double feature Grindhouse in 2007. He is the director for the 2010 comic book film Ant-Man.
Wright often plays small, uncredited parts in his movies.
