• Early Career

  Dries Van Noten comes from a family of tailors and worked with his father and grandfather as a boy. He studied fashion at Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 1980. In 1986, he showed his first collection in London along with designers Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs, and Marina Yee who are collectively known as the Antwerp Six.
