• Actor Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident at approximately 11:30 p.m. on August 3, 2008, while driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima owned by Demaris Meyer of Memphis. Meyer was a passenger in the car when it flipped over several times. Freeman broke his arm and shoulder in the accident.   Meyer has sued Freeman for negligence. According to the lawsuit, she is suffering from permanent disability as a result of the accident. The lawsuit also states that she has suffered from pain and suffering, lost wages and property damage.
