The Method in Brief
The Daruma-Otoshi method on demolition depends on large computer-controlled jacks. These jacks are used to support the building's weight as the support columns and then the building materials are demolished and removed. Once a floor has been completely destroyed, the jacks are lowered, bringing the next floor down to ground level so the process can be repeated.ArtForum: Daruma-otoshi skyscraper demolition (2008)Categories
