  Wildfires in Boulder County, Colorado, prompted evacuation warnings for more than 11,000 residents on January 7, 2009.   On April 15, 2008, wildfires in Colorado caused the evacuation of the towns of Ordway and Carbondale, as well as a voluntary evacuation of Fort Carson. Three people died in the fires.
