• Colleen Applegate (also known by the name Shauna Grant) was a pornographic actress and model whose life and tragic death at the age of 20 were the subject of a 1988 Made-For-TV movie called Shattered Innocence. Although born in California, Applegate grew up in rural Minnesota and was a cheerleader at Farmington High. After running away from home in 1982 and moving back to California with her boyfriend, Applegate began working as a nude model, and then eventually as an actress in pornographic movies. Acting under the name Shauna Grant, Applegate made more than 30 films before retiring in 1983. On March 21, 1984 (at the age of 20), Applegate committed suicide by shooting herself in the head with a .22 caliber rifle.
