  Daly dropped out of college to become an intern at KCMJ-FM radio in Palm Springs, California, where he worked for future TV host Jimmy Kimmel. From there, he moved to Los Angeles and worked as a DJ on modern rock radio station KROQ, hosting his own show on weekday afternoons.
