CoD: WaW Gameplay
Unlike its predecessor, Call of Duty: World at War takes place during the events of WWII. In the game, you play as U.S. and Russian soldiers, fighting mainly against the Japanese. The game utilizes the same graphics engine as Call of Duty 4, but adds on some new features. Enemies and objects can now be torched using flame throwers, which will cause your foes to melt and camouflage to burn. Additionally, the game features two-player local co-op for split-screen cooperative play, and a new multiplayer system which integrates squad-based tactics.IGN: Call of Duty: World at War SummaryIGN: Call of Duty: World at War Co-Op Hands-On (August 19, 2008)CoD: WAW Co-Op Info
In the new "Competitive Co-Op" mode in Call of Duty: World at War, two players can work together but compete against one another for the highest "score." You earn points in this mode by killing enemies, or reviving your fallen comrade, while at the same time you lose points for dying. The player with the most points at the end of the mission wins.IGN: Call of Duty: World at War SumaryIGN: Call of Duty: World at War Co-Op Hands-On (August 19, 2008)Categories
