American actress Brittany Murphy started her career in the early 1990s. She started to make appearances in television show and in 1991, she landed a role in the series Drexell's Class. Murphy's first notable lead role was in the 1995 film Clueless which also starred Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash. In 2009, she was working on upcoming films Across the Hall, Poor Things, The White Hotel and Sin City 2.
According to a report by TMZ.com, Murphy died on December 20, 2009, after suffering a cardiac arrest. A 911 call was reportedly placed from the home of her husband, Simon Monjack, around 8:00 a.m. PST.
