• Actor Brad Pitt appeared on the American Idol stage on Sunday, April 6, 2008 for a taping of the second annual Idol Gives Back special. Pitt was welcomed by a crowd that gave over 30 seconds of cheering before the actor could speak and was then unable to be heard when his microphone was not working properly. The technical glitches were fixed and Pitt was able to tape his segment. Pitt introduces a film clip about former Idol Chris Daughtry's trip to Uganda. Idol Gives Back airs on Wednesday April 9, 2008.
