Black Flag were one of the seminal bands of the early Southern-California Hardcore Punk Rock scene. With raw aggression and lyrics that dealt with paranoia, poverty and isolation, Black Flag helped influence a generation of young Punk bands. While the band went through many different lineup changes during their career, the group centered around the musical vision of guitarist and songwriter Greg Ginn and vocal power of Henry Rollins. The band was also noted for their DIY ethic and independent spirit, having amassed a loyal and dedicated following through a relentless touring schedule and word of mouth promotion.
