• Career Highlights

  Seyfried began a modeling career at the age of 11. In 2000, she originated the role of Lucy Montgomery on the daytime soap As The World Turns. From 2002 to 2003, she played the role of Joni Stafford on ABC's All My Children. Seyfried was cast in her breakthrough role in 2004 as one of the "Plastics", Karen Smith, in the popular teen film Mean Girls. In 2008, Seyfried then went on to portray "Sophie" in the film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical Mamma Mia! with Meryl Streep.
