  She appeared on the show [[That's Incredible!]] in 1980 at the age of four. During the show she recited Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. After David Lynch saw the show, he recruited her for a role in the Sci-Fi thriller, Dune. After moving to Hollywood and during a lag in her acting career, Witt worked as a piano player for the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. She landed a role on Cybill Shepherd's sitcom in 1995. Throughout her career she has had many guest appearances on a variety of television shows. She joined the show Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2007.
