The 2014 Winter Olympics will take place in Sochi Russia. The Winter Olympics is an international, multi-sport event hosted every fourth year. This will be the first time that Russia will host the Winter Olympics. In preparation for the games, the Sochi Olympic Park will be built along the Black Sea coast. Sochi is located on the ancient silk road about 1,500 km south of Moscow and 1,500 km east of Athens.
