The SEAS
The study, called a Simvastatin and Ezetimibe in Aortic Stenosis (SEAS) study, followed 1,873 patients with an aortic stenosis for four years. Two percent of individuals over the age of 65 reportedly have aortic stenosis. The study failed to show any slowing in aortic valve disease, but did show a higher rate of cancer among those who took the drug.
