The first commercial features a pint-sized Darth Vader who is attempting to use the force, despite his best abilities. Volkswagen released the ad prior to the game, creating heavy rotation and receiving more than 10.8 million hits and counting. The commercial promotes the 2012 Passat that finally evokes the power of the force to the surprise of Vader. The ad is courtesy of the ad agency Deutsch LA.
The second ad, titled "Black Beetle," features advanced computer-generated animation to place a Volkswagen Beetle in a lush, colorful, microscopic setting.
