Vladimir Radmanovic

Vladimir Radmanovic is a Serbian born NBA player currently playing for the Charlotte Bobcats.

Early Life

Vladimir Radmanovic was born in Trebinje, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yogolavia, on November 19, 1980. He would play basketball for the Belgrade basketball club Red Star Belgrade and the Serbian basketball club in KK FMP Zelenik. After developing his skills, he would later declare himself eligible for the 2001 NBA draft.

Pro Career

Radmanovic would be selected with the 12th pick in the 2001 draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. He would develop in Seattle as a valuable sixth man off the bench, with his excellent outside shooting. In 2006, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for power forward Chris Wilcox. He would spark the Clippers to a successful playoff run. In the offseason he would sign a 5 year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. During the All-Star break in 2007 he would be involved in minor controversy when he injured his shoulder in a snowboarding injury. At first he lied about the nature of the injury, claiming he fell on a patch of ice. But after several days he revealed he separated his shoulder while snowboarding, which is against the terms of his contract.
