The Vivid Entertainment Group contracted the group of Vivid Girls. They are approximately twelve porn starlets that include Jenna Jameson, Briana Banks and Lanny Barby. The Vivid Girls have an exclusive contract with Vivid Entertainment company. This exclusive contract allows these stars to work for a higher salary than they would elsewhere and they only need to do a few films per year.

They specialize in high-production movies with professional lighting and cinematography. Their movies are filmed in exotic locations.

Vivid signed a contract with an award winning author and columnist, editor and sex educator in March 2007. His name is Tristan Taormino and he was hired to be the head of Vivid-Ed imprint. As a result of his work, they produced several how-to DVD sex guides. Those were The Expert Guide to Oral Sex, The Expert Guide to Oral Sex, Part I: Cunnilingus, The Expert Guide to Oral Sex, Part 2: Fellatio, and The Expert Guide to the G-Spot. In 2008, they produced two oral sex instructional titles.
