Corruption Investigation
On March 12, 2009, FBI raided Kundra's former office, the Office of Chief Technology Officer, in Washington, D.C as part of a corruption investigation. One of the employees, Yusuf Acar was arrested. Federal CIO
As federal CIO, Kundra oversees the purchasing and use of information technology by government agencies. He is in charge of all federal technology spending. Obama will also appoint a CTO. The exact responsibilities of the CTO have not been announced.
