About the Game
Virtua Tennis 2009 is a realistic tennis simulator designed to give gamers the feel of playing real tennis. It's the fourth installment in the Virtua Tennis series, which has been a big seller for publisher, Sega. The latest installment enables players to create their own player and be trained by a real-life tennis legend to compete for the number one ranking against the biggest stars.The game will feature more than 20 of the world's top tennis players, a variety of new arenas and minigames, as well as the Davis Cup license. Virtua Tennis 2009 also introduces a new player creation system that will give players full control over facial, body and clothing customization.
In addition, Virtua Tennis 2009 will feature online multiplayer over Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, including online rankings and leaderboards, as well as the opportunity for players to earn money to purchase more than 800 items from the game's shop to upgrade their character.
The game will feature five brand new minigames, as well as seven that have appeared in previous Virtua Tennis games, all playable alone or for up to four players.
