  • April 16 marks the anniversary of the Virginia Tech shooting. On this date in 2007, student Cho Seung-Hui killed 32 people before committing suicide in the worst school shooting in United States history. Classes have been suspended for the day, and the campus will host several memorial services, which will be followed in the evening by a candlelight vigil. Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine ordered all state flags flown at half-staff for the day. Many other college campuses around the country will hold similar memorials in tribute.
